Office Guidelines

We recognize that people can be overwhelmed with the procedures Dr. Swartz and Dr. Wong recommend, and the fees associated with them. At no cost, we offer consultations to clarify the treatment recommended. It is an opportunity to bring a spouse or parent and have the treatment thoroughly explained. We can also discuss scheduling concerns, expected insurance payments and the many types of payment plans we offer. We realize there are big decisions to be made and will spend time with you to help you.

Ionia Family Dentistry has expanded hours to accommodate busy schedules. We offer more hours than any other office in Ionia County and an appointment time has been set aside for you. Because of this, we ask if you are unable to keep your appointment to give us 48 hours notice. We reserve the right to apply a cancellation fee to your account.

Ionia Family Dentistry understands the busy world we live in. If you will be late for an appointment we ask that you give our office a call. Because we schedule enough time for you, we can often accommodate a late arrival. However, if you arrive more that 10 minutes late, you may need to be rescheduled.

If you have insurance to help you pay for your dental needs, you are fortunate. Ionia Family Dentistry accepts assignment from a very large number of insurance companies. We will use current resources to help you estimate insurance benefits. However, they are only estimates. On a regular basis, insurance companies have given us incorrect information. At your request we will send pre-authorizations and provide current information of yearly maximums spent in this office. However, we can not be responsible for your insurance company. When services are rendered you are responsible for payment to us. Another option is for you to provide payment in full, we will give you a statement and you can collect from your insurance company.

Payment is due at the time of service unless other arrangement have been made. Ionia Family Dentistry accepts insurance assignment from many companies, but you are ultimately responsible for payment. We also offer other payment options. They include:

Cash Check or Money Order
Major credit cards. We accept Visa and Mastercard.
Pay as you go. We can schedule your treatment to meet your financial needs.
Care Credit/Dental Fee Plan – they are dental credit card obtained through our office.
Payment Plans – upon approval. This is more common for long term patients.
