Meet the Team

Tami’s worked in the dental field since 1998. She has not only worked at Ionia Family Dentistry since 2000 as Business Manager, but has experience with a dental insurance company. Her goal is to serve others by informing them of the best treatment options available, especially the fearful, as she understands fear of the dentist effects your health and well being. Tami has seen the many satisfied patients appreciate all her co-workers do.

Tami is a resident of Portland with her children Cody and Kristen. When she is not working she enjoys snowmobiling, golfing, and keeps extremely busy with her children’s sports activities.

Lisa’s worked with Ionia Family Dentistry since 2004. She’s the Clinic Coordinator. She enjoys greeting patients as they arrive and usually answers the phone. She has a bubbly personality and it’s easy to tell she enjoys her job.

Lisa has a husband (Steve) and three children, Janelle, Corey, and Dillon. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, watching the boys play sports, playing in her gardens, and reading books. We’re glad to have Lisa. She is an asset to Ionia Family Dentistry.

Kortne is a dental hygienist at Ionia Family Dentistry and a long-time team member. She was born and raised in Ionia and graduated from GRCC. She?s worked at Ionia Family Dentistry with Dr. Swartz since 1998. Her patients love her great personality, as she makes dental appointments enjoyable. She stresses patient education and oral health.

Kortne currently resides in Saranac with her husband Jason and daughter Alli. She's totally remodeled her home and treats her many animals as she would her own children. She enjoys camping with family and friends, and walking (or running) with her dogs in her spare time. Kortne's been a long time asset to Ionia Family Dentistry. We enjoy seeing her walk through the door in the morning.

Jenny is one of Ionia Family Dentistry's Dental Hygienists. She received her degree from Grand Rapids Community College in 2000, and began working with the team in 2001. Her favorite thing in dentistry is seeing the positive impact peoples self esteem as their mouth becomes healthier. Jenny enjoys working at Ionia Family Dentistry because of the great group of people who surround her. She feels the Doctors and staff are true professionals who have a passion for their work. She enjoys being a part of it.

Jenny grew up in Belding. She lives there with her husband and five children. When she's not at work you could find her with her family, on the way to soccer practice, 4H meetings, or a school activity. She's the one who always has a positive attitude and is a pleasure to be around.

Jeana is a Registered Dental Assistant here at Ionia Family Dentistry. She's worked in the field of dentistry since 1995, and has been with Dr. Swartz since 1997. Her duties consist of assisting the doctors and hygienists, taking x-rays, scheduling appointments and making the patients feel comfortable. She is also an expanded duties dental assistant, which is very rewarding to her. She attended Lansing Community College and Washtenaw Community College. The reason she choose to work in the dental profession is that she can use her artistic abilities to help make people have beautiful teeth. The most gratifying part of her job is making people feel comfortable in their surroundings of the dental office.

Jeana grew up in Ionia, and currently reside in Belding with her family. She's been married to her husband, Doug, for 13 years. She has two sons, Austin and Grant, and a husky named Blu. In her pastime she enjoys daily sports activities with her family. Go Blue!

Tara has worked as a dental hygienist since 1994 and has been with Ionia Family Dentistry since 2005. She received her education from Grand Rapids Community College She enjoys working with us because of the professionalism, optimism, and knowledge that Dr. Swartz, Dr. Wong, and the staff posses.

Tara was born, raised and currently lives in Ionia. She's been married to her husband, Erin, for 13 years. They have two children, Paige and Jack. She enjoys cooking, camping, and taking nature hikes with her family.
